The Nepali people living in Nepal and elsewhere are celebrating Dashain Festival . This is our biggest holiday of the year.This lasts for a fortnight.It is a harvest festival and a time to get blessings from the older members of the family. So we go from one house to another. Feast after feast! We follow the Lunar calendar, therefore this holiday keeps on changing. I gave a presentation this afternoon to Mrs. Carpenters class. I thought the students were very involved & asked many questions, were introduced to many objects, made a flag , tried eating a special treat. I loved the interaction amongst our buddies. We will be doing a similar presentation to the other classes on Friday.I can't wait to hear what they have to say!
